About the Opportunity
We have 3 exciting roles open for Senior Procurement Specialists with government experience. These contacts start in June and run until January 2025 with a possibility of extension. The work will be done on a hybrid basis and our client’s office is located downtown in Ottawa.
Duties include assisting in setting up and managing contracts in response to operational surges, ensuring ongoing support for the Government of Canada’s HR & amp; Pay Systems. You will be facilitating procurement processes, engage in effective communication with stakeholders and vendors seeking clarification on procurement requirements, advise procurement strategy and actively contribute to advancing the team’s current strategic sourcing objectives.
The Resources are required to perform the following tasks (but not limited to) in support of the:
- Vendor Management
- Developing and maintaining Vendor & Client communication and relationships to collect essential procurement documents
- Providing direction and guidance to client’s requirements by leveraging different
- procurement strategies
- Collaborating with clients to draft Statements of Work (SOWs), Terms of Agreement
- (TAs), Security Requirement Check Lists (SRCLs) and Evaluation Grids
- Collaborating with contracting authorities to determine procurement strategies that advance the branch’s strategic sourcing goals
- Maintaining clear documentation of the contracts to establish an audit trail
- Assisting in the development of procurement policies and procedures
- Monitoring and tracking Tas usage and recommending contract amendments as needed
- Performing contract management tasks
- Participating in bid evaluations and ensuring compliance with the RFP requirements
- Liaising with the contracting authorities within the PSPC Procurement Branch and PSPC’s Departmental Acquisition Services
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Previous government experience is required
- Valid Security Clearance at a minimum level of Enhanced Reliability
- You have completed at least five (5) IT procurement requests for software, license support or three (3) Task-Based informatics professional services (TBIPS) or a combination of both, each with a contract value of $1 million or greater for each procurement request
- You hold a Certificate, diploma or degree from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution in a relevant field or an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant work experience. A copy of the certificate, diploma or degree, as applicable, must be provided
- You have a minimum of 6 years of experience within the last 10 years as lead Procurement Specialist or Procurement Manager, to plan and execute a competitive procurement process for a Government (Federal, Provincial, Territorial, Municipal, or Crown Corporation) client
