Job Description
Class “B” Operator with a demonstrated history of working in the food & beverages industry. Skilled in Food & Beverage, Preventative Maintenance, Food Science, and SQF. Strong food operations and maintenance background. This role maintains our facilities so that they are safe, functional, and represent the company well.
- Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the plant and refrigeration system, including the log books in accordance with T.S.S.A.
- Whenever possible, perform minor repairs and maintenance (i.e. lighting changes, plumbing repairs, repairs to door locks/door hardware, adjusting thermostats, etc.)
- Routine equipment and preventative maintenance: Clean/lubricate boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, etc.
- Monitors and records flow rates, pressure and temperature with specific cold chain parameters
- Responsible for safe, efficient operation of the ammonia refrigeration and other refrigeration systems, as well as Boiler and Air compressors.
- Operates plant in a safe and efficient manner and applies GMP's
The ideal candidate:
- Valid Refrigeration Class “B” Operator Ammonia
- Be mechanically inclined, and able to carry out some building maintenance and general repairs
- Ability to learn and operate production equipment
- Sense of urgency and ability to manage multi demands
- Exceptional organizational skills with discipline to follow up
- Self starter with strong attention to detail
- Basic Computer skills
