The successful candidate will provide support, including but not limited to:
- Liaise with staff and others daily ensuring professionalism at all times
- Be responsible for new user setup and staff departure procedures
- Provide technical support to staff for various IT solutions and services within ETFO
- Responsible for monitoring and responding to the IT Helpdesk ticketing system in a timely manner
- Escalate issues/tickets to the next tier of support within the team
- Install, manage, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
- Administer, maintain and update IT hardware inventory
- Primary liaison to audio/visual support and services
- Provide conference and meeting room set-ups
- Provide on-call coverage and support as required
- Other duties as assigned by the manager or designate
Skills required for this position include, but are not limited to:
- A minimum of a two-year diploma, post-secondary college/university education in the area of information technology
- Technical support work experience (hardware, applications support, networking, VOIP phone systems, mobile devices and audio/visual equipment)
- Advanced computer support skills, including but not limited to Windows/MacOS, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics 365, MS Suite of products, mobile device setup, and application troubleshooting, and the ability to learn and support new programs
- Ability to communicate positively with staff members, and political and organizational representatives, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, decision-making, problem-solving skills and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to change, and develop new skills
- Ability to safely lift approximately 10 lbs or more
- This position involves the performance of duties after business hours, with paid overtime
