Purpose & Scope of Position:
Reporting to the Manager of Economic Development and Tourism Services, the Booking and Administrative Coordinator is responsible for departmental administrative functions, providing customer service and administrative assistance relating to the community services portfolio, events, bookings, economic development and tourism, facility rentals and the collection of revenue for such services.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of a two (2) year community college diploma in recreation, business administration or a related field. The position also requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a customer or administrative service related environment. Furthermore, demonstrated financial aptitude and cash handling experience is critical for the role. The incumbent must have strong communication, effective analytical, strategic, critical thinking abilities, as well as conflict resolution and public relations skills. The ideal candidate will have highly developed sense of professionalism, tact and diplomacy, also demonstrate respect for confidential and sensitive issues. The incumbent must have strong computer skills including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Dayforce (or similar software programs) email and internet.
