We are currently looking for a Project Manager, to support the development of a hospital-wide Fertility Preservation Program. This role will involve process improvements and change management. Interested candidates should have a solid background in project management, LEAN training and strategies, data analysis, and people management. The successful candidate will have an active role in leading the development of a Fertility Preservation Program to support patients cared for by various medical sub-specialty areas but will be most closely linked to the Division of Haematology/Oncology (H/O) & Blood/Marrow Transplant/Cellular Therapy (BMT/CT).
The role is accountable for all aspects of a project life cycle from project initiation through closure, ensuring that all deliverables are achieved on schedule, with a focus on engaging the interdisciplinary and interdepartmental team to create sustainable structures to support fertility preservation.

- Actively engage with other key stakeholders to implement change and initiatives.
- Facilitate and implement change and encourage an environment that is open to finding solutions that meet the strategic needs of our patients, team, and organization.
- Establish and coordinate a governance structures and processes.
- Select and use appropriate research, planning and design approaches, and incorporate best available evidence in the identification and prioritization of planning/improvement efforts.
- Collaborate closely with a broad range of constituents to develop, implement, and evaluate project plans and/or programs addressing elements of partner/system readiness, sustainability and successful execution.
- Apply effective facilitation, communication and negotiation skills, work with stakeholders to prioritize and scope project objectives, tasks, and timelines with the goal of optimizing achievement of project deliverables.
- Develop/Adopt the required project management methodology.
- Contribute and participate in the advancement and dissemination of knowledge through presentations and written materials.
- Promote a collaborative approach to problem solving by fostering a trusting and respectful environment open to continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present written and verbal reports that communicate recommendations for internal and external use.
- Utilize and share data to support proposals, changes, and influence/evaluate outcomes.
Here's What You'll Need:
Essential Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in either Health or Business Administration.
- 3 to 5 years managing increasingly complex projects, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Change management experience.
- Experience in the development of policies and procedures, guidelines, and business cases.
- Understanding of data collection and research techniques.
- Experience in utilizing LEAN methodologies for process improvement.
- Knowledge of hospital operations and health care sector.
- Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion objectives.
Assets
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or related experience
- Master's Degree in Health or Business Administration an asset
- Experience in health care project management is preferred.
- Experience working in the field of Fertility.
- Experience working with medical/surgical sub-specialty areas such as Endocrine, Adolescent Medicine, Oncology/BMT, Urology, Gynecology
- Experience mentoring and developing project members.
