About the role:
Borrowell is looking for a Product Design Manager to help fulfill Borrowell’s mission to make financial prosperity possible for everyone. You'll work to understand how consumers make financial choices and design personalized products to empower them to optimize these key decisions as they relate to their credit score, financial products, spending and saving. Reporting to the Group PM you'll work cross-functionally with our Product, Engineering and business leads to identify and solve user problems.
You'll lead and mentor our team of Product Designers as well as work hands-on within your pod to create data-informed solutions that solve user problems and contribute to business results. In this role you will play a crucial role in shaping the future vision of our product while ensuring efficient collaboration and execution with our cross functional teams. As Product Design Manager you will have the opportunity to create a huge impact by building products that will help make financial stability possible for millions of Canadians.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a player/coach both as a designer and manage a team of 1 product designer to develop innovative financial experiences across multiple platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, data scientists and business development leads to develop and execute strategic roadmaps
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive product development from problem identification to launch, ensuring alignment with member needs and market trends
- Foster a data-driven approach to design, prioritizing features and enhancements based on member feedback, market research, and business goals
- Influence product roadmap and champion user-centered design culture
