The Division of Haematology/Oncology is a large, complex and diverse division. Care is delivered within a Section-based structure, across inpatient, clinic and day hospital settings. These sections include Leukemia & Lymphoma, Solid Tumour, Neuro-oncology, Blood & Marrow Transplant & Cellular Therapy, and Haematology. Many patients are actively receiving care on protocols defined through clinical trials sponsored by industry and consortium, some are early phase trials for new and innovative agents. We are the leading national referral centre for pediatric early-phase immunotherapy & precision medicine trials. These trials are managed through Division's Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU). Many of the process, protocols and policies are dictated by regulations defined by Accreditation Canada, FACT and Health Canada. Standard of Care for these patient populations is continuously evolving as new discoveries are made in their treatments. Precision Child Health will play an extensive role in care delivery. A new Cellular Therapy Facility has been created to expand our ability to offer innovative cellular therapy to patients in the H/O program and possibly beyond.
