We’re looking for a financially skilled teammate with the ability to work independently, who can transition and own the accounting functions within the company to a more internal, scalable, and mature process.

Mosaic is a venture-backed 3D printing technology company. Our goal is to bring 3D printing to the factory floor by reducing the Total Cost per Print hour, and introducing the first scalable solution for polymer-based 3D printing.
We entered the industry ten years ago with a goal of becoming the go-to solution for multi-material 3D printing. Today, we’re the most widely adopted multi-material 3D printing technology. Over the past year, our team introduced Array and Element, allowing us to bring 3D printing to the factory floor. We have beaten out companies who have 10x Mosaic’s team size and funding to become the production system of choice for several firms. We are looking for an accountant who can be an integral member of the finance team as we grow our install base to 2,000+ production systems in the market.

--- The Role ---
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. You will be the first accounting hire, however, you will work closely with other current members of the finance team and our external accounting firms. You will play a key role in our accounting and payment processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the growth of our company. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a scaling technology startup and have a large impact on the day-to-day financials of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee the accounts payable, invoicing and receivable processes. Ensuring proper tracking, reporting, and timely payments.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets/forecasts
- Utilize your experience with Xero to manage and reconcile accounts
- Assist in expense tracking throughout the company
- Assist in non-dilutive funding financial administration
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and assist in internal and external audits.
- Identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements
- Independently seek out areas of improvement
- Work closely with a small (but growing) finance team with opportunities to work with other department heads in the company
Requirements
- Have 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a technology-driven company.
- Are proficient in using Xero for accounting tasks and financial management.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Having an accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)
