The Role
This position drives revenue and cost optimization, identifying opportunities to meet deployed targets. It involves deep analysis and bridging the financial performance and condition of contracts, followed by presentations and discussions with executives. Responsibilities include preparing revenue/cost forecasts, validating signings, certifying signings and backlog, managing monthly finance reporting and closing activities for contracts, calculating and processing accruals, and coordinating invoice collection management. The role also requires analyzing and understanding the balance sheet position to identify and mitigate potential risks early on.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to assess the company's financial performance.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports, executive summaries, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Analyze and interpret complex financial data to identify key insights and trends that impact business performance.
- Develop and maintain financial models, metrics, and KPIs to evaluate the financial impact of various initiatives.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Monitor budget performance, identify areas of concern or improvement, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide guidance and support in the preparation of departmental budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines.
3. Strategic Planning and Decision Support:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate investment opportunities, assess profitability, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of potential business capital projects to evaluate their financial viability and risks.
- Assist in developing financial models and business cases to support strategic decision-making.
4. Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Streamline financial reporting and analysis procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial information.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to leverage technology and tools for process automation and data visualization.
5. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and internal policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and relevant financial information when required.
Who You Are- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role in financial analysis and planning.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software) and ERP systems.
- Experience with SAP enterprise projects is considered an asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and analyze complex business operations and financial drivers.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
