Job Description:
Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre is seeking a Director of Marketing & Outreach to join the Company for the 2024/25 season and beyond. The Director of Marketing & Outreach is an integral part of the CCDT team, working closely with the Artistic Director and Managing Director to manage all marketing, community outreach, and development activities for the Company.
Outreach Responsibilities

- Produce arts education promotional materials for schools and distribute to encourage participation in workshops and performance excursions; book dates and manage communications with teachers
- Allocate performance admission sponsorships and grants to eligible schools as mandated by each sponsor/funder
- Update Performance Guides
- Invoice and receipt for workshop and performance activities
- Coordinate sponsor/scholarship relationships
- Assist with the planning of fundraising events
General Responsibilities
- Varied administrative duties such as occasionally answering the phone for general CCDT/School of CCDT (SCCDT) inquiries including studio rentals (which are managed by the SCCDT Manager).
- POS machine transactions and cash collection
- Help coordinate Box Office guest lists preceding CCDT performances
- Work closely with the SCCDT Administrator
- Open/close building when required and observe security protocols
- Help monitor and update the CCDT data-base
- Manage all charitable donations for the Company alongside the bookkeeper, maintaining accurate financial records and producing tax receipts
Marketing Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance and development of the brand identity of CCDT and SCCDT through design and marketing initiatives
- Assist in the design of printed promotional materials for CCDT/SCCDT including advertisements, brochures, postcards, posters, tickets, program books and press releases and help to manage their timely production
- Assist in editing video for online promotional use and post onto standard channels
- Work in liaison with theatre presenters’ marketing departments and providing them promotional materials for their print and on-line distribution
- Create and manage online advertisements, including on social media
- Manage social media accounts for both the Company and the School
