As the Contracts Manager-Operations within our Facilities Management Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the planning, scheduling, management, and coordination of all Facilities Management operation projects.
What will your typical day look like?
· Develops, manages and co-ordinates new and existing Goods and Services contracts and oversees the work performed by the various contractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and further ensures that quality and workmanship meets agency exceptions.
· Develops, implements and interprets contracts, procurement documents, specifications and drawings in concert with external contractors, Management and Regional support staff, e.g. Purchasing, Legal and Risk Management.
· Develops small project budgets and schedules; controls expenditures and procures goods and services within approved authorization and in accordance with applicable by-laws and processes all applicable invoicing. Establishes and maintains control of project elements, time lines, budgets and work structure accountabilities, building and fire code regulations, and construction contracts including tendering processes and commissioning principles.
· Performs building inspections, including documentation and work order processes follow up, and identifying building systems/envelope/interior repairs and or replacement required.
· Manages and co-ordinates Health and Safety Reports including attending site visits, assigning work to the help desk. Liaises with the Specialist-Occupational Health and Safety for issues pertaining to Health and Safety and code requirements.
· Ensures Facilities Management operations adhere to and comply with all agency policies, procedures, directives, management orders, and policing standards.
· Ensures and enforces compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other regulatory acts and standards consistent with the construction process and industry.
· Performs additional duties as assigned.

You are someone with:
· A Community College Diploma in Property or Facilities Management or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· A minimum of seven years related experience required in facilities management, at least three years of which is in a project management role
· Demonstrated knowledge of related computer applications pertinent to the function
· Demonstrated knowledge of specification preparation and service contract administration
· Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, Provincial and Municipal codes and regulations
· Demonstrated supervisory/leadership skills
· Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
· Demonstrated project management skills
· Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated written communication skills
· Demonstrated analytical, research and problem solving skills
· Valid Ontario Driver`s Licence (Class G) with full driving privileges
What we offer
The salary range for this permanent, full-time position is $81,856.00 - $137,919.00 per annum. Peel Regional Police offers a highly competitive compensation package; applicants will be considered for the top end of the range ($97,205.00 - $137,919.00) based on experience.
