Senior Managing Consultant, Advisors Business Development, Canada Retail & Commerce
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Senior Managing Consultant, Advisors Business Development, Canada Retail & Commerce, focused on Mastercard Services. This role is centered on revenue generation through building and converting a pipeline of Services opportunities that leverage Mastercard's proprietary data and associated capabilities, solutions, and platforms. This includes research/consulting, insights and analytics related to behavioral spend and macro-economics, marketing, loyalty & personalization solutions, innovation, and business experimentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Rapidly gain expertise in all facets of retail payments, including data analytics, marketing, personalization and loyalty strategies, artificial intelligence, and innovation.
Build trusted and influential internal partnerships with D&S expert sales, client delivery services, segment and product teams, as well as Mastercard's account relationship managers focused on core payments.
Work with a dynamic sales team targeting new and existing customers with revenue-generating opportunities spanning the D&S suite of capabilities, end-to-end solutions, and data-driven platforms.
Identify opportunities and deliver high-quality outcomes valued by customers, aligned with their priorities in the Canadian market.
Provide feedback to D&S product and segment teams based on evolving market needs, acting as the "voice of the customer" to identify trends and new revenue-generating opportunities.
Engage with existing and target customers in sectors including retail, travel, consumer goods, restaurants, fuel, convenience, real estate, and government.
About You:
Comfortable initiating and maintaining contact with target and existing customers to identify, qualify and ultimately convert sales leads that generate services revenue from Services products, solutions, advisory capabilities and related platforms. You will achieve this by being customer focused and being intrigued by, and understanding the unique challenges that our customers face
Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience, of which four years in management consulting, software sales or corporate retail will be an advantage
Demonstrate expertise, industry and business knowledge within the context of data, analytics and insights, preferably from having working experience from within a retailer/ecommerce environment, or a vendor that services their analytics, marketing or loyalty needs
Track record of a proven value based, consultative and solution sales based methodology
Attains first-hand customer information and uses it to communicate market needs
Proven ability to set and achieve revenue targets
Strong interpersonal and client facing skills, including a strong competency to create and deliver compelling sales presentations
Ability to uncover client needs and identify the combination of current off-the-shelf products and custom offerings to meet these needs
Experience working cross functionally with other sales teams, product management, and development services, operations and legal to identify opportunities, design and deliver projects
MBA or other advanced degree preferable but not required
Limited day or overnight travel may be required
