About the role:
Borrowell’s finance team supports all areas of our business, including operations and investor relations.
As a finance team member and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will bring an operational mindset and strong ability on execute day-to-day financial responsibilities (journal entries, tax filings, reconciliations, etc.) and assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting to management and investors. You will also support and collaborate with various functional teams by providing regular and ad hoc reporting and financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations: general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month-end journal entries, monthly tax filings
- Prepare month-end/quarter-end/year-end working papers and management reports
- Apply IFRS concepts to transactions while staying up to date with changes in accounting standards
- Assist with FP&A initiatives as required such as forecasting, budgeting, key metrics analysis etc.
- Assist with the coordination of the annual audit
- Safeguard company assets through development of and compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives, ad-hoc projects and reporting as assigned
