Your role
The Senior Producer, Design & Brand is a key leadership role and is responsible for planning, developing, and articulating the creative vision for CBC Design & Brand, and presentation for broadcast, digital and Over The Top (OTT) distribution. This role oversees design quality, maintains accessibility standards and ensures the CBC brand is visually connected through design.
This role supports the direction of the CBC MarComms Creative and Strategy, and works with defined stakeholders to support the CBC Brand Strategy. This role is responsible for the brand direction, concept design, production quality, delivery and integration of each project in alignment with the creative objectives of the CBC Brand Strategy.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Develop, understand and maintain CBC Brand, identity and systems as it relates to the needs of CBC and the audience.
Support the decision making and approval process and ensure that all decisions made align with CBC, its creative and brand vision.
Understand mid-term and long term strategic business objectives of CBC and MarComms in order to execute the decision making process accordingly.
Work with MarComms Brand, Creative & Marketing teams’ to ensure alignment of Brand presentation with external facing marketing and promotion of the CBC Brand.
Liaison and relationship building throughout CBC and third party production services contributing to projects for CBC Brand.
Following established timelines, meet routinely with and support assigned creative team(s) during planning, concept development, design presentation and throughout integration.
Contribute to development of an inclusive, collaborative and trusting culture within CBC MarComms and beyond.
Produce style guides, draft creative briefs and/or any online and printed communications that outline brand rules and strategies for CBC Content and CBC Programs.
Ensure quality control related to development and final delivery of creative assets and finished works from various departments and third party production services, program graphic packages and templates, set designs, environmental designs, music, etc;.
Advise and collaborate with managers, designers and other creative team members to ensure program deliverables and design templates for all graphic content are implemented properly including clear communication of the intent and usage of assets.
Accountable to unit manager to ensure budget compliance within the allocated resources assigned for Graphic production services on an annual basis.
Your profile:
A relevant post-secondary education such as Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Design, Advertising, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Art, Art Direction, Composition, Media Design, Technology, Visual Communications or related field
Five (5) to ten (10) years of work experience, including time leading teams and overseeing brand design
Knowledge of and experience with production including broadcast, digital, video, photography, event and print/collateral
Portfolio that shows a range of styles and types of clients including broadcast
Ability to play a strategic role on account teams – a thinker, not just a doer
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with both creative teams and stakeholders
Familiarity with creative and project management software, such as Adobe Workfront
