The Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting various tasks across the front-line marketing and promotions teams, with a focus accurately recording, tracking and accessing of all of the department’s finances, as well as direct supporting admin needs of the Vice President of Marketing.
Here You’ll Be Able To
- Maintain financial logs and real-time tracking of spends for managers
- Create, submit and track Purchase Orders
- Liaise with Accounts Payable to reconcile expenditures, and help track marketing related payments
- Work closely with managers to pull necessary spend and budget information on demand
- Liaise with live music promoter contacts and manage the company’s concert ticket buys and distribution
- Work with our corporate travel agency to manage booking, coordinating and payment of our teams’ staff and artist promotional travel needs
- Work with our radio promotions team on weekly chart and data reports as well as servicing music to radio stations
- Assist the Vice President of Marketing with various weekly administrative tasks including expenses, calendar management and weekly sales reporting.
- Attend key department meetings to document and circulate recap notes as well as key action items.
It would be music to our ears if you had:
- 2 years’ experience working in corporate financial record keeping
- Knowledge of internal financial systems is an attribute
- Experience with, and working knowledge of digital and social media marketing platforms
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Analytical, detail-oriented, well-organized; ability to manage time effectively
- Able to learn quickly and able to master new software applications and platforms
- Must have the ability to work virtually and independently with minimal supervision
- A passion for music, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude for our collaborative team environment
